First, you have to start a new chat with Notifcaster-Bot in Telegram. Thereafter click the search box in the app, and then type notifcaster_bot. The telegram will show you the bot profile. By clicking on it will open a chat window.
In the chat window, you have to type/token to generate the API key. The Notifcaster bot will generate one for you, and it will show a token in the chat window.
However, you require to copy the API token and paste it into the API Token field in the plugin settings. Thereafter you can send a test message by clicking the Send Now button.
Now you will receive a text message from Notification bots in Telegram.
Moreover, if everything works well, now you can click Save Changes button at the bottom of the page to store your settings.

First of all, you will have to create a new group in Telegram and invite those users you want to join the group.

Furthermore, click your group’s name at the top. This will bring you the group settings. You have to click the add members and then add notifcaster_bot to your group.
Now Notifcaster_bot will generate a new API key in its own chat window. This API key will start with G: prefix. Simply copy and paste this API key in the plugin settings and save your settings. Where Plugin is defined as a type of software that contains a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They are used to provide additional functionality to your application.
Now you will get WordPress notifications in telegram group. You will not receive notifications in the secret chat window with the Notifcaster bot if you are sending notifications to a group.
Ensure that you only add users with admin access to your website in this group. As the admin access is granted where only an authenticated user can make changes. Because these users will see all the notifications that the site administrator receives in WordPress, Where administrator have access to make any changes in WordPress site.
Sending WordPress Posts to Telegram Channel
However, the Telegram channels are chatrooms that can be public or private. As the site owner, you can use Telegram channel for your website visitors where they can hang out with other users.
Now let’s take a look at how you can create telegram channel and how to send WordPress posts to their telegram channels.
First of all, you have to create your channel. Just click the add new icon and choose the new channel.
You will be asked to provide names and description for your channel. Also, you will get a chance to select a short URL. You and your users can use this URL to invite other users of the channel.
After created your channel, also, you will need to create telegram bot. Don’t worry, you do not have to type any code to create a bot in the telegram.
Now open a new secret conversation with Botfather.
In the chat window, type /newbot and botfather will create a new bot for you. This will ask you to select a name and username for your bot. And then it will show you an API key.
Moreover, go to your telegram channel, and then click the channel name on the top to reach the channel settings. On the settings screen, you have to click the administrator.
However, it will display you the list of administrators on your channel. You have to click on the ad administrator and then you will have to type the username of the bot you created. You will now be able to add bots to your channel as an administrator.
Switch back to the botfather chat window and copy the API access token given to your bot. Paste this access key in the plugin settings that is next to bot token option.
Add your channel username to the @ sign. Your channel username is the same name that you used in the channel short URL.
Further, click the Send Now button and the plugin will send a test message to your channel. Now click the Save Changes button to store your settings.

You can now send a post directly to your telegram channel from your WordPress site. On the post editor screen, you will search the option to choose how you want to send a post to your telegram channel.
While you publish or update a post, the plugin will send a message to your Telegram Channel by using these settings.
